Financial Institutions
OVERVIEW
In this lesson, students explore financial institutions and the services they provide. Students consider where they would go in different financial situations, then build their understanding through a reading and graphic organizer. They will sort financial services into categories and reflect on which are most relevant to them now and in the future. Students apply this knowledge by selecting appropriate financial services and evaluating their advantages and disadvantages.
The activity is part of the Keys to Financial Success curriculum and contains a step-by-step procedure for instructors to follow, copies of all handouts and visuals, and a student assessment.
