Summer is right around the corner and, while we hope teachers can take some well-deserved time off after a long and tiring school year, there are many great events planned across the Federal Reserve System to take your econ and personal finance teaching skills to the next level.

The Atlanta Fed is hosting multiple in-person and virtual summer sessions covering a variety of topics ranging from entrepreneurship to the power of a penny…and what happens if it disappears.

Numerous in-person sessions will be hosted by the Kansas City Fed this summer with topics ranging from the economics of sports to the connection between financial literacy and social studies subjects.

The New York Fed hosts its annual two-day in-person teacher institute starting on July 14 at the bank’s main branch in lower Manhattan.  Educators will hear the latest economic research from Federal Reserve staff and receive new curriculum materials that are ready to use for next school year.

Educators can also attend an in-person event in Philadelphia July 21-23 to discover the new Keys to Financial Success personal finance curriculum.

The St. Louis Fed hosts its annual AP Summer Institute, which offers both in-person and online options for teachers.  New teachers who are not familiar with the curriculum can join for a special introductory session on July 7.  Experienced teachers looking to improve their classroom strategies and test scores can engage with College Board representatives, Federal Reserve Education staff, and economists during the main conference, July 8-10.

Keep in touch with all our events this summer and next school year by visiting our redesigned events page.  You can filter by event type, choose the Federal Reserve district nearest you and access a calendar view to plan out your upcoming professional development.  Start exploring by heading to the events page below!
