OVERVIEW
In this activity, get your students thinking about saving and investing strategies. Students will build a hypothetical portfolio to understand the trade-off between risk and return. Students learn about the functions of different saving and investment options: savings account, money market account, certificate of deposit (CD), US Treasury Security, mutual fund, and stock.
