Federal Reserve Education announces a new series of assignments to introduce basic macroeconomic indicators like GDP, inflation, and unemployment with FRED® Q&As. Each reading also contains an interactive data time series graph or map from the Federal Reserve Economic Database for students with the goal of developing analytical skills that connect the textbook description of an indicator with real-world figures.
Every FRED Q&A can be easily assigned to classes using Canvas, Google Classroom, Schoology, Blackboard, and D2L Brightspace. By creating a free account on fre.org, teachers can download a self-grading, multiple-choice assessment that aligns to the voluntary national content standards in economics. This tutorial will help you get started.
Teachers now have the option to also download and print a PDF document containing a multiple-choice quiz by clicking on the Answer Key button on every resource page.
