Federal Reserve Education recently published a series of five new interactive modules designed for high school personal finance courses to introduce students to the modern tools they use in their everyday lives. These Future Money modules not only present financial technology (fintech) tools but also provide valuable information to teens on how to best protect sensitive financial information from being lost, stolen, or compromised. A summary of each interactive can be found below:
•
Digital Banking: Explore the dynamic world of digital banking, including the pros and cons of this evolving landscape.
•
Digital Payments: Introduce the types, technologies and uses of a variety of digital payment tools.
•
Digital Currency: Discover how digital currencies and assets function and serve as units of exchange within our payments systems
•
How Others Can Protect Your Digital Financial Footprint: Investigate what makes up a digital financial footprint and who can help protect it.
•
How YOU Can Protect Your Digital Financial Footprint: Learn how students can identify risks, trends in digital financial crimes, and how to avoid these pitfalls.
Each resource is designed to complete in approximately 30 minutes and comes with a self-grading, multiple-choice assessment that can be easily added to major learning management systems such as Canvas, Google Classroom, Schoology, Blackboard, and D2L Brightspace. Our
