Federal Reserve Education releases a newly updated resource to help high school students evaluate the next steps after graduation and create a personalized career and education plan. With the Invest in What’s Next module, participants will match their interests to potential careers, analyze how much income they will need to afford a lifestyle of their choice, and research what the potential costs of continuing their education might be.
Invest in What’s Next contains a wide variety of interactive activities, including videos, knowledge checks, and other self-reflection prompts to help teens plan their next steps. Teachers can also distribute a PDF worksheet to help students follow along and record their work as they make their way through the module.
Teachers can easily add modules, like this one, to most learning management systems like Canvas, Schoology, and Google Classroom. Students complete a (self-graded) assessment following the module.
To accompany the interactive, teachers can also download a PDF teachers guide containing three full lesson plans and a writing assessment for students.
