New Resource: Buy Now Pay Later Comic

New from FRE comes the first in a series of Personal Finance in a Flash comics to help middle and high school students understand the basics of buy now, pay later options.  In this brief story, Cosmo learns that while it feels good to buy items right away, he learns that the bill will eventually come due.  Readers will learn the basics of how buy now, pay later systems work, the advantages those programs offer consumers and the potential drawbacks of overspending without considering the consequences.

Designed for middle and high school classrooms, the comic contains a simple budgeting activity that allows students to examine the spending choices of someone trying to decide if they can afford to attend a very popular (and expensive) sporting event using a buy now, pay later option.  Conduct a discussion with your class about the idea of trade-offs when making spending decisions.
