For educators, understanding how students learn is equally important as what they learn. With two new resources aligned to the curriculum and exam document (CED) for both AP Macro and AP Micro courses, teachers can train students using the latest metacognition strategies that directly align to content for both classes.
In each review guide, there are four areas to assist students with reviewing for formal assessments. Essential knowledge drawn directly from the College Board curriculum helps repeat core content concepts. Every unit contains big ideas about which students can write short paragraphs to synthesize overarching themes, and there are opportunities for students to apply their learning by practicing basic graphing and formulas. Finally, students learn to be self-reflective about the content and to be more efficient in studying by distinguishing areas of strength and weakness in their knowledge.
Both AP Macro and Micro Metacognition Guides contain printable outlines to distribute to classes, as well as an answer key teachers can use with step-by-step procedures to guide instruction.
