FRE.org Website Launch Provides Teachers with Hundreds of Resources, Professional Development

Federal Reserve Education

The new FRE website contains close to 600 resources that teachers can easily incorporate into their classrooms with just a few clicks of a mouse.  Once teachers log on, they can discover videos, readings, interactive modules, infographics and traditional lesson plans for students at the elementary, middle, high school and collegiate levels.

In addition, the new website offers an extensive glossary with 800 terms and definitions to help students easily understand economics and personal finance concepts.  Many terms also have suggested resources for teachers to help illustrate those ideas for learners at all levels.

The new FRE website also offers professional development opportunities for educators to join in person and online events as well as sign up for self-guided training through graduate credit, certificate and badging programs.

“We are thrilled to combine the efforts of all the education teams in the Federal Reserve System in one easy-to-use site that will make teaching economics and personal finance easy and fun,” said Scott Wolla, Economic Education Officer for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
