Getting The Most From Your Credit Card
The Federal Reserve wants consumers to use their credit cards wisely and created a 45-second advertisement that provides tips to help consumers manage their accounts in a way that avoids unnecessary charges and fees. The ad will air before movie previews in 12 cities where there is the highest theatre attendance nationwide beginning November 27. The ad provides tips for getting the most from credit cards, including: paying on time; staying below the card’s credit limit; avoiding unnecessary fees; paying more than the minimum payment; and watching for changes in account terms. Consumers are directed to “5 Tips for Getting the Most From Your Credit Card” located on the Federal Reserve’s website (www.federalreserve.gov) for additional information and resources.

Federal Reserve Foreclosure Avoidance Scam Ads
The Federal Reserve has created advertisements to direct consumers to free resources on avoiding foreclosure scams at www.federalreserve.gov. The ads ran in selected movie theaters across the U.S. states based on high incidences of foreclosure. These states include Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia. "5 Tips for Avoiding Foreclosure Scams" is one among many other free mortgage foreclosure resources available to the public.
