One of the 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System. The Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District which consists of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
The Atlanta Fed's Visitors Center and Monetary Museum provides a unique opportunity for visitors. By exploring an exhibit of historical artifacts, you'll discover the fascinating story of money—from barter to modern times. You'll also learn about the turbulent history of banking in America and see examples of rare coins and currency.

Extra Credit is an online newsletter, posting articles four times a year, designed to help teachers looking for timely information on economic and personal finance topics, lesson plans, and ideas for use in the classroom. - Teacher Workshops and Events
The Atlanta Fed conducts teacher workshops in Atlanta and select branch offices throughout the year. Teachers will gain a deeper understanding of the Federal Reserve System's role in the economy so they can better teach their students.
